Lund Maskinfabrik A/S is not covered by the CSRD directive. We have chosen to voluntarily follow the CSRD framework in our ESG reporting. The aim is to stay ahead of upcoming reporting requirements. At the same time, this allows us to meet the growing demand from our customers, including being able to provide them with CO2 footprints at product level.
The report has been prepared in accordance with the EU’s voluntary ESG reporting standard for SMEs.
The report has not been audited by a third party.
Although 2025 is our first formal reporting year, we have for a number of years continuously invested in measures that support more climate-friendly operations:
Most of our CNC machines were replaced with more energy-efficient models between 2019 and 2024.
LED lighting has been used in production since 2017.
The extraction system is equipped with a frequency converter and automatic dampers that reduce energy consumption.
In the longer term, we aim to expand the scope of the report to include more data points.
We will continue to ensure that all steel and metals we purchase are produced in Europe. In addition to reduced transport, these materials are also characterised by a significantly higher share of recycled content.
The new ERP system implemented in 2025 increases efficiency, with less set-up time and downtime.
We continuously work on optimising process times to keep energy consumption to a minimum.
Our ISO 9001 certification ensures high quality and fewer production errors, and therefore less waste.

For us, ESG is not just about meeting requirements – it is about taking responsibility and showing how we actually work. We are not yet required to produce an ESG report, but we have chosen to take the step voluntarily because we want to stay ahead.
At Lund Maskinfabrik, we continuously work to minimise our energy consumption.
We use only environmentally friendly degreasing products in our production.
To reduce the amount of waste oil we produce, we use a central coolant system. This has also improved our working environment, as there are fewer impurities in our coolant.
